The Church : Societal Influencers

In times past, the world has looked to the Church for insight, direction and guidance. Art, education, government, entertainment, it’s influence and voice could be seen in all facets of society and culture. However, the latter half of the 20th century brought a strong shift in the opposite direction. The influence of the Church on the world has been felt less and less, especially in the United States.

A Time of Unparalleled Opportunity

“War and it’s troubles give not a reason for retreat but many reasons for offense” – Southern Baptist Convention, 1942

The quote above was written at the height of World War II. In a time of chaos, uncertainty and adversity, many prominent denominations and leaders within the Church declared it as an “unparalleled opportunity” to “advance and mold the new world into the pattern of the Kingdom.”(1)

2017 marks a similar, God ordained opportunity for His Church in all 7 Mountains of Society. In the midst of racial, civil and political uncertainty, the nations are looking to us once again. There has never been a greater opportunity and desire for leaders to disciple their cities and local communities. It is our time to stand up and be a voice.

Important Questions

This new season begs the question, how does one navigate through this ocean of adversity to find the path God is opening for them? What is the framework, the template or strategy to engage culture in a tangible way? How does one with a heart to bring peace to a community ravaged by violence even begin? Or a pastor that wishes to heal the racial divide inside and outside their congregation? How about a business owner that desires to break a culture of poverty off of their city?

It is with these questions in mind that we have invited Dr. Dennis Peacocke and Clyde Lewis to be feature speakers along with Apostle Gale Sheehan and Bishop Hamon for this year’s Leadership Summit. We want to provide leaders with the tools and information they need in order to tap into the opportunities God is opening up to disciple their communities and spheres of influence.

2017 Leadership Summit: A Time of Equipping & Empowerment

This leadership summit is designed with the specific intent to train leaders to be able to take tangible action. In addition to general sessions, we will be having workshops and small group intensives with our speakers where they will be able to provide insights and strategy that go beyond what is usually covered in a large group.
No matter where you are at in your vision, we feel that this conference will help provide clarity that will ensure we make the most out of the opportunities God is opening up in 2017 and beyond. It is time to stand up, engage and be a voice.

HAPPENING AT THIS EVENT

PROPHETIC MINISTRY FROM CI TEAMS

Members of our CI Prophetic Ministry Team will minister to all those in attendance. The Word of the Lord brings life!

Featured Master Classes

Dr. Dennis Peacocke has dedicated his entire life to societal transformation and developing strategies that Christian Leaders can use to engage in tangible transformation. He has worked with countless leaders in all mountains of influence and seen incredible breakthrough in realms that were seen as impossible to change. He is bringing his years of knowledge and expertise to help empower our attendees to be able to take action.
Clyde Lewis, in addition to his other ministry functions, is the head Chaplain for the Portland Police department and has been on the front lines of what we see occupying the front pages of the news. He was brought in as an expert consultant to work with the department in the wake of police related shootings and the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement. Clyde will bring his considerable experience of engaging with a community in turmoil to provide insights into how we can engage with our own to bring healing, restoration and transformation. He will show us what it is to lead with courage in the face of great adversity.
